I'm going to get a new 19 LCD and am deciding which format to get, normal or widescreen.

I have a 9600XT AIW and a GF4 Ti4600 in 2 rigs, running through a KVM.

The required resolution for the wide screen is 1680x1050 and I'm not sure if the Ti4600 can do that res. Unable to find out on the web-

Anyone running the Ti4600 at this resolution?

Thanks in advance-

he Ti4600 scored impressive 130fps running at 1600x1200.

found that on a page with reviews for ti4600

I doubt it does that playing Oblivion or I just wasted a grand! Need to ask him what his card's main tasking is. Web surfing etc., is probably OK, Doom3, not.

It will work fine at widescreen resolutions. All those reviews that say cards cannot do a certain resolution were not using the latest drivers. I use 1680x1050 with my ti4400 and have done it also with a Radeon 7500.

With new drivers it should support it just fine. Probably have to run lower resolutions for gaming though. My 6800GS barely runs 1680x1050 on new games. (ie- oblivion)
