coming in from monarch any day now, a few things im wondering

should i take off the spreader? (cooler is tt blue orb II)

what is a "memory divider" and should i use it?

will I be fine with corsair xms 3200 or should i upgrade my ram?

and what is the multiplier on these? 9x i think right

new mobo is asrock 939dual ;)

Leave the IHS on for now. And the memory dividers allow you to keep your mermory at or near stock speeds while stilling running higher htt. Yes that memory will be fine as long as youy use a divider. And last but not least all opty 165's have a 9x multi. HAve fun with it and let us know what stepping and week you get.

so the divider is essentially just the ratio

like 1:1

i can change that in the bios right

Yup, just a ratio that will let you run ram at a lower speed to keep it stable, and you should be able to change it in the bios.

with that ram you'll need a 2/3 divider, possible 1/2 divider depending on how far the chip will go. i agree with the above posts, don't take off the IHS, generally its not worth the risk. don't forget to lower your LDT multi ;)
