Just Throwing this out there, i have an old laptop and i want to get an external screen for my 12" powerbook. Can i take out the screen from my old laptop and plug that into my mac, if so what adapters do i need

well lappy monitors use a ribbon cable to plug into thier devices (least on old ones), so i doubt there is any avaliable adapter for it (off the shelf).

google it....

It can be done, but I think you have to build a controller board to interfacem with the lcd.

which i believe would be hard to find (if not impossible if the old laptop is a mac) and would prolly cost a couple hundred
