How do you know which motherboard is more future-proof?

You know how motherboard bioses get updated from time to time adding more CPU's for them to support? Well how do you know which motherboard will be updated more often for more CPUs?

I want to buy a motherboard that supports fast processors and be updated in the future to support the future processors so that I can just buy a different chip in the future rather than a whole new motherboard...

How do you know which motherboard is more future proof?

Wait for the motherboard for the AM2s or the Conroes to come out. New architecture usually assures that the motherboard is more futureproof. With AM2 coming out the 939 boards will be falling to the wayside.
