I've got the following 2 fan controllers:
Aerocool Coolpanel 2

Evercool Fan speed control panel

Here's my problem, I'm trying to connect 3 panaflo hi speed fans to one channel on a fan controller. I wired up a little board that merged the power and grounds and took rpm from only one of the fans. I believe that this is in parallel.

With the cheapo evercool if I connect this to one of the channels it works great. I can control the speed of all 3 fans.

If I connect this to the aerocool they all run at 1/3 speed. Its like the power's getting split between the fans. Now I think that the aero cool is a PWM controller. I get some nasty noise from the fans at any speed but maximum unless I toss a capacitor in there. So I'm wondering if that has something to do with it.

I'd like to use the aero cool if possible for all the other front panel stuff it provides but it would suck if I've got to run each fan on its own channel.

Thanks,
k.
