Hi everyone,

I got a cheap dell p1110 from a local aunction (50$ for a 21" :D ) The problem is that it have a color problem on it (colors faded). The only way to solve the problem is to access the internal EEPROM with a DAS software to change the settings.

The access is via a console port on the back of the screen. I built the adapter and the console interface, but I have a problem with the serial interface. I took the cable from an old Microsoft serial mouse, but I don't know wich cable connects to witch pin. The question is, where can I find the pinout or anything to know where to plug what?

The cable have 6 wires in the special plug at the mouse end:

- orange
- white
- yellow
- blue
- red (V+ I guess)
- naked (ground)

at first glance this website appears to have serial pinouts, it may help you.

Oh, I diched the serial cable from the mice, just going to build one myself
