I think my current motherboard, an Abit AN8 Ultra, is on the fritz and I may need to shop for a new one. The problem is I'm not sure if I want to go with an RMA, since it barely lasted a year, or a whole new board.
Right now I'm needing a socket 939 motherboard with a PCI-Express slot for my video card and dual channel DDR. I'm not really looking for any huge overclocking options right now so that's not really a concern. I want at least one PCI slot for my sound card.
Is the nForce2 chipset still a viable option? How has ATI's chipset been working out? Are there any models that I should look a bit further into?
