AMD/ATi - Crossfire 3 Slot X-Fire Rumor

Rumor is a buzzing that AMD/ATi is expected to create a triple slot crossfire solution probably been round on here before I think I posted a thread on it once. Anyways sound intresting but power requirements will go through the roof and heat with be 1 thing they'll have to think about.

PS: I renamed it Crossfire Triple-X cause it sounds cool.

Yeah.. AMD and ATI havent been doing much of that lately.. and thats thinking.

That info has been out for several months but no real boards have shown up. I could do now by using a pair of XFires on my ECS and dropping a 3rd gpu in a 1X slot for the Physics.

When they do make the real boards I hope they consider on on the DS-FX board. The current ASUS version have four slots which to be is a little too much. Three will be enough to run to GPU-GPU-PPU configuration and cost less.
