I'm new to the OC forum, but have been following for a few weeks and would like to say hello. I'm also in the process of building a new system with the following:
Gigabyte P35C-DS3R
Q6600
Geforce 8600GT
2 gig ballistix 6400
4 SATA drives
1 DVD R/W
The system will mainly be used for image editing, ie. PS/Nikon Capture.
Was thinking of the Corsair 520HX or the 620HX for a power supply. Was wondering if either of these would be enough if I plan on OC'ing the Q6600 to 3.0, maybe 3.4 gig?
Appreciate the input.
Thanks

indeed, the 520HX will be more than enough for that configuration of yours, even if you overclock that Q6600 to 3GHz+. However, you can get a 620HX for just as cheap from ClubIT, so personally I'd get the 620w for only a little more

Either of Corsiar 520/620 psus will be fine.
