CMD PCI-0649 Ultra DMA IDE Controller
I cant get this damn thing to work and its driving me nuts!

in the CP it says device is working properly.

I put this in my PCI slot. I then turn on my computer and it boots, and starts to load windows, then nothing happens it just sits there, black screen and all. If i remove the cable from the hd, so the card is still installed, there is just no hd attached it functions/boots fine.

Am I SOL? Is there any way I can get this installed? I could really use the
extra IDE ports.

Thanks,
Tyler

ok, all i did was restart for the 500th time, and somehow its working, BUT it cant be right

it says my 160 gb WD attached to it is now a terrabyte drive.

and it wants to know which format I want to initialize it in? MBR or GPT??

Take a look at these screenshots and tell me what you think.

Id hate to lose everything on the drive by clicking the wrong thing.

update:

I added another HD to see if maybe just my WD 160 was messed up some how, and we are back to this
"I put this in my PCI slot. I then turn on my computer and it boots, and starts to load windows, then nothing happens it just sits there, black screen and all. "

So with adding the extra hd on there it now will not go into windows. Just the black screen.

Any thoughts?
