freeze on network connections

Just moved my computer to school, about a 70 mile trip. I had the computer in the front so it did not get banged around. Once I got here I had some problem getting windows to work and eventually re-installed. Ever since the new install I had a problem loading the network connections page. About 75% of the time it will freeze. I am able to alt+ctrl+delete and get out of the window. Any ideas at what is causing this? It usually takes a minute or so and then it will unfreeze and open the window...

Did you reseat everything after the move?
