Try running a repair on your IE installation? Do you have Java Runtime Environment installed on your PC at all?

I certainly have runtime installed, java just stopped working suddenly. However, I can't find anything about java in the start menu. Also, how do I perform an IE repair install? I'm just using IE 6, which came with sp1. Keep in mind that the same thing happens in FF...

Is Java runtime listed under Add/Remove programs? If so, uninstall it then open regedit and delete the Javasoft folder located under HKLM\Software. Reboot, then reinstall Java.
