I haven't been on the intel side much, so I am unsure. I am trying to put together a buget core2duo system to run Virtual Machines, I have 4 sticks of 1GB PC4200. Can you guys recommend a core2 cpu/mobo combo? mobo doesn't need to support all 4 sticks, even 2x1GB sticks will suffice.

who much you want to spend for both?
my first thought for a setup,
G31 based board, has some ocing features and only has 2 dimm slots, ranges from $70-$80.
G33 around $100, has 4 dimms slots, with a bit better ocing features.
either gigabyte or asus for the boards, asus is a better chioce imo. simply cause the 1:1 ratio works wiehter oced or not.
