I got a server from a firend that has 3 Seagate Cheetah Ultra320 74gb drives.
Along with an Adaptec 2120s SCSI controller.
And since they are not as quiet as I would like I don't want them in my computer.
So I am just wondering if people would actually buy them if I tried to sell them.
And if possible how much they would be worth.
I see the controller still sells for $350+ and the drives are atleast $100 each refurbished.

This is what I have.

The drives are all still under warranty until july of 08.

So are these things that I can actually sell, Or is there not really any market for them?
Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Ebay is probably the best option. Controllers are selling between 40 and 80 plus shipping and drives from 30-50 plus shipping.

The main downside is the controller's speed, or lack of it. The processor is 66Mhz, single channel which will saturate easily and with a non upgradeable 64MB of SDRAM, it's just going to be slow.

It's a limited market, mostly people who are replacing components or need testbeds, but worth a shot.

Well thanks, It looks like they go to ebay.
Hopefully someone can use them since they are just taking up space right now.
