temp question for gpu,cpu

i have a mobile 2600+ barton running 2.41g , 209x11.5 , 1.72v .........and an x1950pro...........................am i correct in monitoring temps that 60c is about as high as i want cpu to get and 80c is about as high i wana see gpu? under load, and what program is the best to use to test this b4 i get into a game?

GPU temps can go higher (8800GTs have hit 100° and survived)

im using everest, i meant what program to stress system, im using atitool 3d view, is that enuff?
