I've been attempting to dual boot my system for a little and I can't figure out why I can't. I have 2 hard drives and the idea is to install the OSs on different drives. I understand the partitioning part which but I run into a problem when it actually tries to install ubuntu. It goes to about 4% and then tells me "I/O error reboot". that message comes up for every option like test this disk and stuff like that. I know the disk works and I have tried a few different disks. They work on other computers. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

so far I have tried 4 different copies from 4 different places. Two in dvd format and the other two in cd format.
