How do I do a " screen capture " If i don't ask I won't learn

Hello and happy New Year !

I would like to be able to capture what is on the monitor screen and turn it into a jpeg or bmp for uploading.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have learned more on OC.com about pc's here the last year than I ever wanted to know LOL

I think there's a few ways but I usually do:

Alt + PrtScreen

Then open paint and hit Ctrl + V.

press Print Scrn... then open up your fav paint program and paste

*edit* beatin again
