e8400 & MSI 8800GTSOC - how are these temps?

Hotter than my old P4/6800 system but from what I've read these temps are okay?

This was while running CoD4 demo at full detail to load the system. No overclocking. Core 0 & 1 are the CPU temps. Core & Ambient are the GPU temps.



At idle, the CPU is around 42ºC and the GPU around 56ºC.

Using an Arctic Cooler Freezer 7 pro. I have a CPU/HSF lapping on the to do list. Just built this system last night so I am getting things dialed in.

P.S. - HD1 has a replacement on the way

I'm not familiar with that HS but I know that with my TRUE 120 my temps Idle stock are around 22c load OC'd to 4.050Ghz under load only go to 62c. Not sure if that helps ya at all, but that's what I know for a fact.

For the CPU at idle, SpeedFan 4.34 sees 42ºC and Real Temp 2.5 sees 36ºC... odd.

FWIW, I changed the GPU fan speed from 37% to 60% using rivatuner and the load temp dropped from 76C to 67C.
