just helped my mate build a new computer may have gone a lil overkill considering he only wanted it for word excel stuff like that.

meh here it is

e8400 VID 1.2 batch Q815Axxxx
ga-EP35-DS3
320gb hdd
XFX 8600GTS
2gb OCZ 1066 ram.

worst part is he wont let me OC it!!!!!!

but wow that thing is nice for what he wants. i was suprised how SMALL the standard HSF is for the 8400 compaired to my e6600 didnt think it would effect it that much.

any way can anyone confirm how that bacth Overclocks? would like to show him some posts with all of you support for him to OC it :)

Thanks Tim

i know i know but cmon its an 8400 how can i let it lie dormant
Learn to live with it. I've assembled comps with Opty 170's, and such, with people who don't wanna OC. And those CPUs actually need some OCing for every-day tasks.

My mate has got an Opty 170, at stock. He always got lag in games, but it took almost two and a half year for him to let me run it up.
