I've been watercooling for several years, mostly Koolance stuff. I am surprised that so little is offered in the way of ATX shutdown hardware should a pump fail, temp rise above a certain point on the CPU, etc. I know many people say this can be accomplised in BIOS, but none of my ASUS or SuperMicro boars offer this; only warnings.
Am I just looking in the wrong place? Are there hardware manufacturers out there who offer add-on boards or ATX shutdown circuits built into their hardware? Coolermaster and Thermaltake did a long time ago on their discontinued units, but I don't see much else out there.
Are there good software solutions? I've heard that there are, but they are subject to hangs within the OS, so I have shied away from them.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
