I wanna know if i could use my 9800gt as the main card and then plug my 8600gt in to use for physx? is it even possible?

Yeah that's what they're planning to implement. Or hast it been done already?

I do remember reading somewhere that an 8600GT is the equivalent of the current dedicated Physx cards out there :)

What I have been trying to figure out is if you can run SLI and still have a seperate card for physx. I'm running a GX2 right now, but have an 8800gts just sitting here that would be a great physx card.

i just tried it now and i dont have enough space for the 8600gt, cos my 9800gt heatsink is too big and my x-fi is in the way! if i had to put the 8600gt in then by how much will my performance increase?

Usually PhysX enabled games just turn on more visual stuff rather than gain a performance boost.
