do I install my lcd monitor to the graphic card through the dvi (white) or do I do it through the vga (blue) cables/connectors? Whats the difference?

If you have a DVI connection on your Monitor then use the DVI if not then use the VGA one.

There really isn't a big difference between the two other than DVI can terminate to HDMI but that doesn't really affect your situation. Basically if you have a DVI cable use it, if not, your not losing much with VGA.

You will also notice that with a VGA cable you can calibrate your monitor but with DVi you cant because its all preset.
