Hey guys I know I said on here that I've had this problem before but it happened again and I forget what to do. Keep in mind that I don't overclock.

Update your client? I think I see 1.19 there... 1.24 or 1.25 is out now (can't remember atm.) Pretty sure they've cleared up a lot of the unstable machine errors since 1.19.

The current version of the client is 6.23. p5774 requires FahCore_11 version 1.19 so that's not the issue in this case. If stopping the client and restarting doesn't fix the problem, you should first try rebooting the machine, then try reinstalling the vid drivers. Use the latest WHQL driver, 182.08 is the latest XP driver, not sure about Vista.

Well, I got good news and bad news.
Good news is that updating the diver fixed the unstable problem.
Bad news is it's struggling in getting my gpu to run at full or what it likes to refer to it as starting the GUI server.

Also I just realized that the smp I'm running is only using a quarter of my quad's power. strangly it was still working through at the speed as if all four cores were working on it so I thought cool let me try to get three more smps running but the second one I tried conflicted with the other.

You forgot the -smp flag.

I agree.

so I thought cool let me try to get three more smps running but the second one I tried conflicted with the other.

When you run more than one client of the same type on the same system you need to change the machine ID's to something different for each client. Keep this in mind if you run two smp clients on your quad or end up running many uni core clients.

I'll try that and if it doesn't work then I'll try the -smp flag.
Thanks.

Without the -smp flag, you WILL be running ONLY uni cpu WUs and make far fewer ppd.

Nope didn't work. ( I forgot how to do it through the client file so I reinstalled and did it the installation in the advanced options where it asks if there are addition parteners.) It's as if it pure luck to get these things working. I know technically that doesn't make sense but that's what it seems like.

Wait I nevermind but how do I sove the gpu problem? (post #7

EDIT: DAM IT SO CLOSE!!!
It my quad to 100% for a few secs and then this happened
