MY 320gig just died

Drive is 2 months old. Installed in another computer and it started relocating sectors and XP tried to repair the drive. Ran WD DIAG, which in the main screen passed. Tried to Run the diagnostics tests and it fails during the 2 minute test. Tried the Extened test, and the time rose to a few years to complete, then I aborted it. Have to say it been about 10 years since I had a failed drive.

Did an advanced replacment because its a customers computer.
 
That sucks. Looks like it was a bad batch. Hope you extract any important data from it.


It found a few found.chk folders and one of them had the my documents data inside. Thankfully, I partitioned the drive 3 ways and moved the My documents off of the boot drive. ;) 14 gig of iTunes saved.
