Not sure who told you that, but I'd be inclined to disagree. You can usually for similar cash, create a much better system.

You should look at prebuilt water cooling systems with the same level of disdain as you do prebuilt computers. I'll just reiterate what everybody else around here does: back to the drawing board, and read up.

Here is an article that helped get my mind started on it:

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/coo...rcooling_101/1

Once you've read through that and have a basic idea, start looking at parts, and consider what you can spend, and see what you can whip up by mixing and matching parts. At a bare minimum, I'd reccomend a dual 120 rad, and a pump with a replacement top of some sort so you can run the fittings of your choice (for me it was an MCP355 with the XSPC top).

Yeah, not sure who told you that about TT kits. Around here they are notorious for poor performance and are generally looked down upon.

Go custom, or go home.

The only "kit" I would buyis the Swiftech H20 220 Ultima or others made by Petra's Tech Shop as they make "kits" with custom grade (think superior) parts.

I have had a quick read through nice link thank you, is it similar to building a system, some parts only fit other parts or is it more along the lines as eveything is fine together?

Well i can see thermaltake is out of the question then.

Swiftech has made a new thing i dont remember the name but it's a all in one (rad-res-pump (mcp355 or 350 not sure) for 200$ -triple rad-Only default of this thing is the positionement of this baby
Would cost 230to 280 for a full wc kit with only 2 piece of tubing with good perfomance
I will try to find a link.

  • Water block for the part you want to cool.
  • Pump, circulates the water.
  • Reservoir, mostly facilitates filling.
  • Tubing.
  • Fittings, you can clamp the tubing onto.
  • Radiator to dissipate heat.
  • Fans, to cool the radiator.
Also, on the MCR320QP Res, that thing is okay, but most people seem to prefer the MCP355 with the XSPC reservoir top.

you can pick better parts for the spend with care.
its a tidy solution for internal mounting and there reliable parts that would cope with the crazy summer highs of north wales (if you have a summer #Laughs#)

did you have an idea as to what you are prepared to spend upto?
this tackle can last for a few builds if you choose and control the parts you have yourself.
