I am having issues with this chip, its solid at 3.8 and 3.9, temps are well below uncomfortable, however it just isnt stable, tried voltage at 1.4, 1.45, 1.5, temps are still good. any ideas ? Specs in sig.

It may seem trivial but are you upping the voltage on your NB as well? When i start crossing the 1600 rated fsb speeds my board likes to have at least 1.5v for the NB to be stable on my qx6700

yeah actually I have upped the voltage as well, stock is 1.1v on this board, however i have only upped to 1.2 and 1.3, any ideas on what is safe ? I do have active cooling on the NB as well.

Hmm, upped the Nb to 1.3 and it seems to be 100% stable at 3.8Ghz with a full load temp is only 46C , voltage is 1.24 :)

still want 4ghz haha, i can load windows, at 4ghz, but its not stable.
