Re: Ati Radeon 6850 or 6850 toxic or 6870

Hey Guys,
well i wanted to know the diff. from the users of this cards from Sapphire hd 6850 @ 775mhz and hd 6850 toxic edition which runs @ 820mhz which i guess is overclocked, which one is better choice as i am about to purchase one of these cards and if hd 6870 is better than 6850 toxic edition then i may go with hd 6870 but it seems most of the specs are the same except the core clock being a little bit more in hd 6870 than in 6850 toxic and way more than in just hd 6850.
so the question is which one should i go for to wrap up with??? as 6850 toxic is 2k less than hd 6870 in terms of price and has a lil bit more features than hd 6870 n i've also heard it(6850's) runs a lil cooler than hd 6870, is it the same with hd 6850 toxic edition or will it produce more heat as its overclocked??? or should i just settle down with hd 6870 and live happily ever after :) ...so which one you guys think will be the best bang for the buck card here??? please guys help me out here as its a huge investment for me.

thanks

here are the links for these cards comparison :-

Take what I say with a grain of salt as I actually don't own any GPU at the moment :p
However, I've done some research and reading on 68xx because I will be getting one in the coming months.

If you plan to OC the card yourself, don't bother getting a factory overclocked one. Why pay for something you can do yourself?
Only reason to look at factory OC models, IMHO, is for non-referrence PBC and cooling. However, since AMD gave partners the 6xxx series cards ASAP to be more competitive with nVidia, you'll find that vast majority of 6850s already come with non-reference cooling (while it's not quite the same with 6870 for some reason).

Personally I consider getting a 6850 and push it to 6870 level. I'm personally looking to get either a Gigabyte one with their Windforce cooler, the dual fan XFX or, perhaps the BE XFX, just so I can tell everyone I have BE CPU and GPU :D
