Shuttle AK35GTR or Asus A7V266-E

What is the best the Shuttle AK35GTR or Asus A7V266-E. I am thinking the Asus just because quailty is better. The northbrige fan on my shuttle AK31A R. 3.1 whent out about one month after I got it.

It works fine now in my server with out the northbrige fan thout hust the sink. It never even gets hot.

They are both respectable boards. I don't know the cost of the Asus, but the AK35 was only $115+ shipping. Plus, you have a vcore that can be increased to 2.3. I am very pleased with mine.

Asus A7V266-E is a very nice board but if you think of the price difference... its much better to get the Shuttle AK35GTR.. its much cheaper and can perform better too... Asus is my fav. brand for boards.. but when you think about it.. you're playing more for the name than the product...

The Asus boards are kind of expensive, unless you are buying a refurnished board from Newegg for a cheaper price. Shuttle seems to be a very good brand for AMD, lots of people have reported some very impressing benchmarking scores.

After my Northbrige fan problem in my Shuttle AK31A R.3.1 everything is fine. I am now using it in my server. It proformas very nice. However my Asus A7V266-E is really nice it benches faster than my shuttle did i my computer I also like the ipannel. I wanted your guesopinion on the Shuttle Ak35 bucause I am concitering buying it for someone.
