Hi, I am looking to build a new gaming rig in the range of $1000 - $1300 USD.

Here is what I have selected so far:

Case: XCLIO ATX Full Tower
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103033

HDD: WD Caviar 1TB 7200RPM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136533

Video Card: EVGA SuperClocked GeForce GTX 580
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130590

RAM:G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231314

Motherboard:
I've yet to see 1155 motherboards on NewEgg. My budget for a motherboard is around 190$.

CPU: Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115070

Power Supply: Thermaltake Black Widow 850w

I highly appreciate anyones input on my current selection,

Thank you.

Are you absolutely set on the 2600K? Being $100 cheaper but having a 100 MHz slower stock speed, 2 MB less cache, and no HT, the 2500K is a much better bang for your buck if you don't need the extra "cores" from HT for VMs and such. Otherwise, in games the 2500K performs pretty much right on par with the 2600K...

Here's how I would build that machine

Case:
Cooler Master CM 690 II Advanced -- $89.99
Do you really need a full tower? Because the setup you desire would fit in a Mid Tower without any issues. And one more thing... the XClio may look good (If that look is what you like)... But you really want a case that will keep your HW cool (See Airflow inside and ventilation)... And in that department, the XClio comes up short.

HDD:
Western Digital Caviar Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 -- $89.99
No change here. The Caviar Blacks are great quality spinner drives.

GPU:
EVGA 015-P3-1580-AR GeForce GTX 580 (Fermi) -- $499.99
Why spend $30 more on the same card just because they send it to you with a mild overclock that you can achieve yourself with a couple mouse clicks?

RAM:
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 CL8 -- $134.99
Take the money you save on the GPU and get better memory... One more thing... 8GB is nice to have, but for a gaming machine; 4GB (2x2GB) is more than enough.
Say you decide to go with a 2x2GB kit instead of the 2x4GB kit listed here...
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 -- $64.99... That's $70 you save right there and for gaming; you won't notice the difference between 4GB and 8GB anyway.

CPU:
Intel Core i7-2600K Sandy Bridge 3.4GHz -- $329.99
Yes; the 2500K would be more than enough for gaming, but if the budget allows I would get the 2600K anyways.

PSU:
CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-650HX -- $119.99 and $15 MIR -> Final Price $104.99
The 650W from the Corsair will be more than enough for your setup and Corsair PSUs are some of the best around. It will definitely outperform the Thermaltake you were looking at.

MoBo:
You may have to wait a little bit for this part since the first batches that were sent out to the public had to be recalled due to some manufacturing issues on some components of the boards. Intel and motherboard manufacturers are working on resolving those issues and once they are ready the etailers will resume selling the "new & improved" boards.

If you were to stick to your $190 budget for the MoBo; the above setup would come out to $1439.94.

If you switch the Ram to a 2x2GB kit; the price will drop $70 from there. And if you go with the 2500K instead of the 2600K that's another $100 you can take off the price.

Hope this helps
Sebastian

One word, SSD. If you are going to shell that amount of money of this build, you will need an SSD. I would buy this one if I were you :

Mushkin Enhanced Callisto Deluxe 60GB

Just install the OS on this one and use the 1TB for storage.

What he said...

A SSD for your OS and a game or two will make your build 100% complete. A few weeks ago I would have recommended the OCZ Vertex 2 64GB SSD (I own one), but it seems any new stock that is coming out is hindered by cheaper chips and they degrade faster and don't perform as well as the older Vertex 2s...
The Callisto would be a great alternative within the $130 price range.
