Using it makes it get hot, but in 90% of applications, a hard drive cooler is not needed.

Long as some airflow inside the case is present and an intake is in the front. No, you will not need a cooler.
 
hate to say it, but that case looks pretty terrible, you could probably mod it to get some ventilation, but I would really worry about airflow on that thing.

does it even have a front fan?
 
You do not always need a front fan. Long as the flow can be exhausted.
 
I'm going to cut a hole in the top for a 120mm exhaust. I'm also going to have 1 intake in the back and 2 intakes on the side. I know I should have got a better case but it was cheap and has a 1 year warranty. No front fan. I might cut some holes there for breathing room.
 
you could probably do the two on the side as intake and the top and rear fans for exhaust, might be your best bet.
