Well the reason for me doing this is on my H60 I kept bending down the tabs and had troubles mounting the block to the cpu with those damb bolts and nuts.

So found a different retention mount which changes AM2 to socket 775 mounts. The company the makes them is Enzotech, I wasnt 100% sure if it would work but was well worht the try just for the simplicity of it.

Here is the mount I used, there are 2 different versions. The type s with longer screws and the type x with shorter screws. Thing is I should have gotten the type x. the screws on the type s were so long I couldnt use the thumb screws from the H60. Anyhow I just used 4 nuts.

Well procedure is pretty self explantory. I even used the factory rear mount, just took off the two top mounts and bolted on the enzotech mount. Just thought Id share, the mount doesnt come into contact with any other components on the board. On mine it hadnt any way.

Pic1-old brackets still installed.
Pic2-old brackets removed.
Pic3-new mount screwed on and cpu cleaned.
Pic4-H60 water block mounted via the intel adapter.

Nice, way to actually solve the problem than just get mad about it like normal people. Always nice to see even the simplest of engineering fixes.
