Well, that was speedy!

March 27, 2012 - EVGA announces immediate availability of the EVGA GeForce GTX 680 Superclocked. This card improves upon the standard GeForce GTX 680 with a new boost clock of 1113MHz, and a base clock of 1058MHz. The memory has further been tuned with a stock frequency of 6208MHz.

Also available is the EVGA GTX 680 Superclocked+, this version includes the enhanced performance offered on the Superclocked card, plus a custom EVGA backplate.

The backplate is also available for purchase separately at the EVGA Webstore http://www.evga.com/products/moreInfo.asp?pn=M021-00-000008

Didn't expect factory overclocked models quite this soon, but EVGA appears to be ahead of the game.

Did you say "didnt expect one at my doorstep" this early? or, was it just didnt expect one this early?

Haha...no, not getting one of these. We have the EVGA reference model on-hand. Chances are it will have the same capability.

What I didn't expect was a superclocked version this early, barely five days post-launch. :)

wish we had an evga rep here... i'm waiting on the signature series i think, for the increased 8+6 Power Design and 5 Phase PWM Design. good idea right?

Might as well go for the Classified with 8+8 and 14 phase PWM. After seeing how good the GTX580 Classfied is, if I decide to buy a GTX680, it'll be the Classified :D

You might be waiting for a long time then if current info and history is any indication.

FWIW, from k|ngp|n:

First up is FTW card with enhanced beefier VRM then classified comes a bit later. With 580 classified we started really late into product cycle, but we learned a lot from that. This time around its gonna be different. Were getting caught up now and ready to compete with the competitors and hopefully moving ahead with Kepler.

Good news! Btw, its just a SC people, nothing near the FTW/Classified territory.. SC is usually a mild OC.. Nothing new.

Definitely a sick gpu. The only reason I would even get this instead of waiting is for the back plate. Ehhh one of these days I will get one. And when that time comes their price will probably be higher but more in stock.
