hi all. i think my northbridge fan on my shuttle ak31 is dieng.
it's making funny noises and spinning slow in bursts.

is it really important? if it does die, should i be worried to turn
my computer on? how would a corb work on it?

NB

Take the fan off, and grease the bearings. Try pushing down on the center of it too, some people say that it gets off balance and that that might help.

You should be allright even if it dies, but I wouldn't risk it, especially if you're overclocked. Best to go out an get a replacement fan.

thanks akraine, ill clean it up and see if that helps.
