Not sure where else to post this question since its usually softwares so i guess here.

So guys as you know i was getting a new PC. Well finally i brought it home yesterday ! Cheers !

Windows 7 64 BIT Home Prenium.

Since its a fresh copy of Windows 7 , is Java , Adobe Flash Player etc installed on my PC ? ( Im able to play Youtube , online Browser games though )

Networkframe is included in Windows update right ? Its what i recall.

Also i just downloaded and installed DirectX yesterday. But i think its only a 9.0c

If i were want to play games in DirectX 11 / 11.1 must i download it again?

Also guys any good free software for me to Monitor my PC Temperature?

I know that CPU-Z is for your PC performance right ,but no temperature?

I would not rush to install things as they can and often do negatively affect the system by slowing it down, making it buggy and generally interfering with things. Do not install what you do not need; that said:

1. Test which version, if any, of Adobe Flash are installed on each browser:
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

Disable the annoying 'Press Esc to exit full screen mode' Adobe message which Adobe permanently inserted into Flash:

2. Java may not be necessary, but I install version 6, not 7 or later, since Java can be so buggy:
http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/index.html

Then I do this:

=============

Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) 6

Go to Control Panel and start Java > Update TAB > UNCHECK: Check for Updates Automatically > Never Check

[In Windows 7, select View by > Small icons to see Java.]

Advanced TAB > Java Console > Do not start Java Console
Default Java for browsers > UNCHECK: Microsoft Internet Explorer
Java Plug-In> UNCHECK: Enable the next-generation Java Plug-In
See JRE Auto-Download
Miscellaneous > UNCHECK: Place Java icon in system tray and Java Quick Starter

*IMPORTANT*

Firefox > Tools > Add-ons > Plugins TAB > Disable Java Deployment Toolkit then see if there are more versions of Java Deployment Toolkit below and disable them too. Leave Java Platform enabled.

Restart Firefox to make sure it's disabled. This setting is stored in your Firefox personal profile, not the main Firefox folder. On multi-boots, it needs to be set for every operating system.

Java Console is also not needed. It can only be removed by deleting folder whose name starts with {CAFEEFAC- inside C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions\

3. Windows Vista Service Pack 1 and Windows 7 include both .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.0.

Only if you need later versions of .net, they are here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/vstudio/aa496123

4. Windows 7 comes with DirectX 11

However: Even though versions higher than DirectX 9 are installed on Windows Vista/7, there may still be DirectX 9 components that need to be updated on those operating systems. http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

5. Try this to monitor temperature:

Ah thanks for the info.

Hmm i actually do disable all my Adobe / Java etc updates on startup , they take up so much of the " space " making PC slow too i guess.

So i guess this is a common thing for everyone to do lol.

Tks for the advice. I think i won't touch my Java for now , let everything stable.

Adobe i think im only missing Adobe Reader. Uh my Youtube and other sites like watching anime online stream works fine , so i guess there wont be problems.

Direct X is up to date. I used this " dxig " i recall something like that.

Im able to check my version etc. All games running fine now. No Direct-X missing error.

For the Temperature Monitor , someone offered me to use HWMonitor , i saw this on my magazine too, i guess i will try this one.

Tks for the help and your time , cheers !
