SR-2 build is done and running beautifully...

Have a question though, not even the Googleplex could solve...

Cosmos II has two hot swap bays... I want to test them so...

What settings in BIOS do you need to use hot swap bays? Yes, the SATA Data & Molex power is all plugged in for them and all dandy on the hardware end.

Where is said setting? I know its ACHI or some similar combination of those letters is what I need to change it to... And how will it affect other drives that are not hot plugged?

Thanks.

Change the controller to AHCI. If Windows was installed when this was set to IDE, you will get a BSOD if you change it, so you need to do a registry edit before changing it. If this is set to RAID, AHCI is enabled for single drives and you don't want to change it.

I covered this in the storage sticky.
