Hello!

First I'd like to say that Ive updaded my BIOS and the .CMO file with my overclock settings wont load anymore. I wish I could open it somehow to check how my overclock was, but unfortunately, I dont know if thats possible.

Since my last overclock it's been a while so I presume the best settings for 3770k have been all figured out already.

I was hoping you guys could help me achieving the best I can from my cpu with a hyper 212 evo cooler.

I usually kept it at 4.5 ghz, however I cant remember any of the othe hundreds of mobo settings...

Thank you!

Can't see the OP's sig (red small font), but if 4.5Ghz is what you want, it's easy. These are my settings, but might be different on your board's Bios:

BCLK= 100
Vcore= Normal
LLC= High
DVID= +0.030
CPU PLL= 1.65
MULTI= 45

Disable all cpu power saving features in bios. IE: C1E and EIST / Speedstep. Once you've rebooted check your vcore using Cpuid and P95. Start dropping your vcore's DVID voltage a notch at a time and test for stability. Most 3570/3770k's will run 4.5Ghz with little to no voltage increase. Mine, however, will not.

I delidded mine and I'm able to run 4.5Ghz with 1.24v (bios) but 1.29v using Cpuid/Core temp. Before it needed 1.32v ( both bios and cpuid/core temp) :D

*Edit*

You can also use this great guide .

I increase my sig's font size, check if you can read it now and if it makes any difference from what you've told me.

Ill check the guide and follow your advice!

Thanks!

All I did for mine was change the Vcore and multiplier, everything else left on stock.

Arent you missing some performance by leaving all the rest in stock?

I've recently bumped up to 4.5ghz after being stable at 4.4ghz, just for kicks... and it was still stable with these settings. but every chip is different... I have a P8Z77-V LK motherboard though so these settings may not work for you...

Under load vcore is 1.224-1.232 using offset. temps spike to 83c under stress testing, so I'm right on the edge of "comfortable".
I will be going back to 4.4ghz for the daily use though.

I left all that c1e,c3,c6 power stuff default so it's all on.

Its the color on the white backround that is bad, note.

That said, in my signature is an overclocking guide you should check out. About the only difference for your CPU is to start with 1.3v at 4.5Ghz and work your way down (hopefully).

Hello FrankieFingers,

I created my account here to thank you personally.

My PC specs are virtually identical to yours (with the exception of the graphics card, power supply, and case).
I have used your optimal settings you listed.
Running blend mode on prime95 for the past 8 hours. So far, so good.
Cores range from 64-72°C max under 100% load.
I'm very pleased with this.

Thanks again for your help!

Try not to set the LLC too high, it'll end up pushing the CPU's voltage too high when you really don't need it so play around with it using hwmonitor or hwinfo.
