Presently, I'm using one monitor, An Asus 24 " 2ms at 60hz, plus a FX8350. My problem is the video card. A 760 is basically a rebranded 660 Ti , with some beef. Is a 770 justified for my set-up ? I'm thinking of saving some cash and go with a 760.

Ok. Heres the deal. I am upgrading both of my pc's. My main rig will handle server duties and daily general use. I game on my main rig too.The 660 SC does fine on 1080p. On the other side..... Take Crysis 3, Metro Last Light, BF3, Tombraider, and Far Cry 3 out of the mix, and most other games will play on Ultra with a 660. Not to mention FC3 is poorly optimized, but improved with update 1.5. Tombraider, Crysis 3, and Metro require sli, and 120 hz screen to appreciate. I plan on upgrading my monitor to a ASUS VG248QE Black 24" 144Hz 1ms. I don't expect those frame rates on most games, but it will give me leverage to turn off v-sinc in games. I dont use AA, but that's me.

To answer your question. I want to play games on high to Ultra with frame rates at 60 fps at 1080p. The exceptions are listed above. I will have both cpu's overclocked at 4.5g. Thanks !

For your gaming needs I don't really know because I only game on a single 1080p screen. I won't be much help but I would think that a single GTX 780 3GB would do just fine. However, we also need a budget so we can give better recommendations.

At 1080p, 760/770 are the cards to buy. If you can fork the money for the 770, it could be a nice card to follow this 144hz 3D monitor.
