Need AM2 suggestions.

Ok so I'll start by saying I know next to nothing about AMD Cpu's , have always been an intel guy . That being said I got an old Dell 531S taht has a socket AM2 board in it that I want to use as an HTPC. I upgraded the video card to a 5450 and would like to upgrade the Sempron 3800+ as its still a little sluggish with netflix when doing HD. Any suggestions? Cheap is key.

Assuming the BIOS supports it a X2 6400 or 6000 would be ideal. Especially the Brisbane version of the 6000 b/c it has a lower TDP for your stock cooler.

The board is an ASUS M2N61-AX. Specs here. If that will help to provide some info. Like I said I know next to nothing about AMD.

Should support a 6000 Brisbane I'd go with that due the likely weak stock cooler.
