How do I change the I/O range in device manager??

I'm trying to change the Input/Output range of my GamePort on my Sound Blaster Live! card .How do I change the I/O range in device manager?? I get a grayed out tic box where it says use automatic settings and I've already tried safe mode (yes, I was loged in as admin ).

what O/S?

You will need to disable ACPI to do this.

Go to the Creative website. They have specific instructions on how to do this. It worked for me changing I/O so my Logitech steering wheel would work.

yea thats the only way i found out of doing it. I suggest u do it as a last resort and follow the link about because changing the acpi fugded up my system and i had to reinstall all the drivers.
