Will downloading large files slow down folding?

Just wanted to know because I want to download 3DMark2001Se and I got a new unlisted protien (GNRA_f3) and want to get it in fast.

It really shouldn't effect it too much as most of that is done with the nic. Maybe some, but folding will still get the bulk of the cpu time.

IMO, the only time it will affect it will be when the download is complete and it is saving it from the temp file to the reg file, and that takes how many secs?? (of course i could be wrong)
