As suggested by trents on post #105 : http://www.overclockers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=718187&page=6
I bought myself some 1866 DDR3 (I went 4x2, it was cheaper) and it's 1.65v, so far so good.
But, once in the BIOS, it doesn't detect it as 1866, but as 1333...
If I try to change the speed to 1866 manually, the BIOS crashes, and I have to do a CMOS reset to get back in.
What can I do?
/e: I've found these in the new RAM specs:
TIMING PARAMETERS:
• JEDEC: DDR3-1333 CL9-9-9 @1.5V
• XMP Profile #1: DDR3-1866 CL9-11-9 @1.65V
• XMP Profile #2: DDR3-1600 CL9-9-9 @1.65V
NEW: 1866 Kingston pdf specs sheet: http://www.kingston.com/datasheets/KHX1866C9D3K4_8GX.pdf
OLD: 1066 specs: http://www.mushkin.com/Memory/Essentials/991586.aspx
TL;DR : How to OC RAM.
