Hi,
While you were replying I was actually off upgrading my BIOS to v19 (the latest) and testing the GAT settings again, my memory served me correctly I tried Turbo, Auto, Auto, Disabled, Disabled and the system wouldn't post at all (out came the old CMOS jumper)
(That was at standard SPD timings, 200Mhz FSB) Guess as I thought this ram just won't do it.
I didn't realise ABIT GAT would do all of that in 5:4, always did love ABIT and my trusty AI7
One thing I did notice actually was that after messing with the GAT settings it sometimes changes my SPD timings to 2.5-3-7-3 (instead of 3-3-8-3) I know this RAM won't do those timings so maybe that's partially what's stopping it? I've set it manually now anyway.
I'll give the 5:4 a go tomorrow (it's 3:36am now), thanks again for the advice.
Right I'm off to sleep now.
