253 oc in XP gets me 2000 style taskbar?

At 250 eveythings ok. but at 251 or 252 it's iffy. At 253 to 255, havn't gone further, I boot with a win2000 default style task bar.
I've read that sticky and made a few changes, but no luck.
Any ideas ?
