I am testing a higher overclock, see the image, VCore 1.43 stable in prime 95 @ 4.8GhZ, max temp core2 78c.
Seen some comments that this kind of voltage shoud not be used ongoing. Tested with demanding games / video editor, and temps much lower mid 60's max. How safe is it running with these settings. run about 12 hours a day?
A second question.
Chip seems to run at max speed all the time, and does not throttle. Any idea of the cause. Would speedtest throttling mitigate against the risk of damage to the chip at this voltage?
Thanks in advance.
UPDATED,
Sorted the speedstep issues, by changing power saving to balanced, and allowing the max frequency to be my o/c frequency.
