I just bought a new fan and it came with a 3 pin (which I use) and then off the 3 pin there's 2 wires that go into a 4 pin (which I don't need). My question is can I snip the 4 pin off? Thanks

Actually, it's probably like a Yate Loon fan. The 4 pin only has two wires to the 4 pin connector.

If it was a true 4 pin (WIRE) fan, it's a PWM fan, a fully different animal.

I've just re-read what he wrote, didn't see he wrote there's only 2 wires running to it.
