This review features my chip (4770k) and shows it 37.6c at load with stock clocks.

I'm getting a bit higher than that at ~45c and that's during gaming, not stress.

I do have the original True 140 (which I think is different than the new True Spirit). Is there that big of a difference between the two or is it something else? I'm using Artic MX-2 TIM, reapplied/reseated just before these tests, so it could just need a few days to "settle". It's the pink build in my signature.

Thanks

Temps are not easily comparable in the way you are trying because of differences in the TIM on the IHS.

The temps are fine, you're good to 90°C+

~21c ambient

BF3/4 for ~30 minutes to reach those.

I haven't run Prime. Will do when I get a chance.

I'm not worried about the number, just wondering if it's close to where it should be.

Maybe my fan profiles are too low? Or maybe I messed up the TIM? Those seem high for stock clocks.
