Ok Guys.
Weird question time again.
On my 1156 Mobo I can use either a 4GB stick on its own OK.
However I have a 1 GB stick, same 1333 speed.
Quick Question.
Any advantage of adding the 1 GB stick to get dual channel goodness?
Or total fail and dont do it?
Thanks.

You could, but assuming the 4GB module is installed in the 1st Channel B DIMM slot, and the 1GB module is installed in the 1st Channel A DIMM slot, the modules would be running in Flex mode. Meaning the 1GB in Channel A and the lower 3GB in Channel B would operate together in dual channel mode, while the remaining (upper) 3GB in Channel B would operate in single channel mode.

Ta very much.
I am surprised there is any advantage at all TBH.
However I am ordering some cheap 2 GB sticks to go in there.
I was a little impatient to get going once I learned 4.7 GHZ is possible.
Oh and thanks for the answer.
I didnt expect one and so nice one.
