Poor Navi has problems.

Here's what happened: I took zir in to a local shop this morning. SATA drives detected in setup, but not in bios boot-order screen (HDD is but optical isn't).

Patched a regular IDE optical drive in, it's detected in bios, but...here's where it gets odd.

The bios will not retain boot-order changes. Intended boot order: floppy, CD, HDD. Regardless of how many times boot order changes are saved, on reboot it will default to floppy, HDD, and third option disabled.

I was told it was a bad board...funny thing is, all other changes in bios seem to be retained except for boot order. Does this sound like a bad board per se?

This needs to be completed soon; I'm tempted to just order a new board now.
