i've been looking for a deal on a 3060 12/ti lately and most of the broken ones seem to be gigabyte. i'd place their rate at closer to 8% for that series of card.

but the kicker is we dont get those numbers from the manufacturers so its kinda up to us to talk about it and figure it out for our selves
 
Yeah, it's tough because we have no clue what the rate is. A lot of chatter could simply mean a lot of that SKU was sold too. 2% of 20,000 units or 2% of 200,000 units, there are 10x more failures, but yet the failure rate is the same. When I read people's posts, I look more for build design flaws across a model (poor contact for VRM or vRAM heatsinks...etc.).

10% failure rate is a lot for graphics cards.. that's recall stuff. lol
