Hello everyon, I back in 2010 I built my first ever gaming machine and after about 1yr or so my graphics card went out. Here was my setup With graphics card, currently its without.

Processor - http://tinyurl.com/8bnwn6e

Motherbord - http://tinyurl.com/9dzamev

Graphics Card - http://tinyurl.com/8m84prn (Old and only card used on that machine)

450W PSU

and 2gb ddr3 ram.

My questions is are there anybody out there who has/had this motherboard and would recommend some descent upgrades, for Graphics Card/ and PSU? And also what are the chances of a PCI-E slot going out compared to a graphics card failing?

Not sure why my graphic card has stopped working not sure if it was dead or maybe it was PCI-e slots, but nonetheless i can just grab something else since its been so long. I was looking at these 2 cards.

Also would anyone have any recommendations for a descent power supply and possibly some fans I could add to the machine, since its running a stock fan and its kinda loud, and I'd like to add more of them. One last thing, the processor is currently using the stock cooler, any recommendations for that also? I noticed alot of the threads containing information regarding this board is rather outdated, so I thought I'd see if someone else still uses this board or has any recent suggestions. Need anymore information defiantly let me know.

Thank you very much!!!

Well, you have more than one PCI-e slot you so you could put the card in another slot and see if it works. If not, it's either the slot or a bad board and the PCI-e function is dead. Does the onboard video work? If so, the PCI-e function is good.

If the board is good you for sure need a quality PSU along with a new video card. Don't go cheap on the PSU. Get one made by Antec, Corsair or Seasonic. If you are only running one video card a 500-550W quality unit would do. And speaking of PSU's are you sure the problem isn't the one you have went belly up?

Thank you both very much!

@Trent the onboard video does work, its currently being used right now just for everyday browsing etc. I have tried both pci-e slots and got nothing, so I was thinking at first that maybe the card was bad that or the slots were bad...but both of them? And the power supply that was in there was a 450W that went belly up, and I replaced it. with a off brand name (wasn't aware at the time) with a 650W by a brand called (A-Power) the supply ended up turning on but then quickly turning back off, but sometimes it would turn on stay on, but as soon as I'd restart the system it wouldn't turn back on at all, just flash like its about to, but quickly turn off. I couldn't seem to understand why everything else worked flawlessly. I ended up giving that power supply to someone else, and works flawlessly for them... So I ended up getting another 450W like the original and works fine now. So I'm thinking just get a Good power supply Corsair,Antec etc. I think a fresh start would be good. I though about purchasing a PSUtester meter just to be on the safe side.

@Knufire Thank you for the link, that's not a bad price for both. I will most likely invest in those and everything should work out. All I would add is Ram, but that's no biggie. Those fans you had linked, I could probably just get a few and maybe attach them somewhere. Also that power supply(550 shown above) wouldn't be to low for any nowaday games would it? Obviously couldn't do BF3 or anything. But still descent PSU Power?

What? PSU power doesn't directly influence performance...there are setups that can max out BF3 that can run on that PSU though. ;)

Whoops, that's what I meant lol. Bad wording on my part. :D I just wanted to make sure that the power supply had enough power to run it, that and with the graphics card.

Thank you for the reply. :)
